Food Bank Donation

Considering the resounding success of last year’s donation of food to the local Food banks, the staff, and directors of YHP decided to forego this year’s Secret Santa gifting and repeat for 2021.

Instead of swapping secret Santa gifts, the staff donated money and the Board of directors voted to donate one hour of their fees, all of which were matched by YHP. Both member and non-member practices also wanted to be involved in the festive spirit and donated too.

Bartholomew Medical Group, Snaith and Rawcliffe Medical Group, Manor Road Surgery Beverley, Howden Medical Centre, Gilberdyke Health Centre, The Hessle Grange, The Ridings Medical Group, Park View Surgery, Hessle, Holderness Heath and Willerby & Swanland Surgery.

The total amount raised was £1,680 which by far was beyond our expectations. Food parcels have been dropped at Hessle Food Bank, Mission Trinity at Goole and East Yorkshire Food Bank at Beverley so far and although we purchased to the requirements of each individual charity, the remaining funds will be made as a direct donation to enable them to purchase further items to support the residents of East Riding.
